Kit-Kats Go Vegan

Love Kit-Kat bars but would like a vegan version? They’re working on it but for now it’s an import item. You can find it in the U.K where the brand is own by Nestle; in the U.S, it’s owned by Hershey. Who knew. So where Hershey own the brand you’ll be able to pick up a vegan KitKat V. The creation of the new bar was done in conjunction with the Rainforest Alliance and is certified vegan, made from 100% sustainable cocoa from the Nestlé Cocoa Plan. They’ve even a rice base as a substitute milk. The all-important question is, how will it taste? I promise a taste test when I can get my hands on one sometime later this year. I hope.

Okay, we all love chocolate, but what is at the bottom of the favorite foods lists? According to Zippia.com which use Google Search Trends to figure this out, in Florida, we hate beets. As do residents of Louisiana and a few other states. Personally, the only way I might enjoy a beet is juiced in a smoothie. Just not what I like, but in my home state of Ohio, it’s thumbs-down to anchovies. I can take them or leave them. Mostly leave. But closer to home in Georgia they just say no to olives. What do you put in your martini’s? Oh, onions. Another nope for Ann Kelly.

No matter which food you loathe or love it’s always best to make the healthier choices. Over the past two weeks that’s led to a seven-pound weight loss for yours truly! So happy about that! Those long Ann-Ventures walks help a lot, and just making the right choices is helping shed those pandemic pounds.
