A jet flying from the Dominican Republic to Miami crashed just after takeoff, killing all nine on board.
José Ángel Hernández, also known as music producer Flow La Movie, was killed along with some members of his family, The New York Times reported.
Flow La Movie was the producer of chart-topping hits like “Te Boté” and “AM,” Billboard reported.
Also on board the private plane — a Gulfstream IV jet which was owned by the aviation operator Helidosa — was also the producer’s partner, Debbie Von Marie Jiménez García, and their children.
Also on board the flight were passengers Jayden Hernández, Kellyann Hernández Pena, Yeilianys Jeishlimar Meléndez Jiménez, Jassiel Yadbiel Silva and Veronica Estrella; and crewmembers Luis Alberto Elijuri and Victor Emilio Herrera, The New York Times reported.
Jayden Hernández was the 4-year-old son of Flow La Movie and Jiménez García.
Estrella’s uncle is Eduardo Estrella, president of the Dominican Republic senate, according to People magazine.
Flow La Movie was 38 years old, Billboard reported.
